Join us for a lovely autumnal weekend hiking the classic Yorkshire 3 Peaks of Pen-y-ghent (694m; 2,227 ft), Whernside (736 m; 2415 ft) and Ingleborough (723m; 2,372ft). Based from a pub/hotel in Horton-in-Ribbleside we’ll hike the 25 mile route over 2 days, taking our time to enjoy it rather than attempting it all in one go!
As we’ll be splitting it up into two slightly unequal halves (more on the first day), we’ll have time to enjoy a pub lunch each day, and fully appreciate the peace, quiet and the stunning views and landscapes.
This is a self-guided trip, though there will be an 8th Day Adventure host to help with the route and all the other various logistics of lunches and timings etc.
As the name suggests it will of course be a hilly walk on sometimes rough footing, but we’ll not be in a race and it will suit anyone able to walk for approx 6 hours each day with a few breaks.
Cost – £160 members / £190 non-members, to include twin room accommodation on a b&b basis (in a pub featured in the Guardian’s Best 50 Pubs 2018) , dinner on the Saturday evening in the pub, maps and a Club host. Transport will be at own cost but we’ll help organise car-share up there, or a group train ticket. Trains are approx 4 hours from London to Horton-in-Ribbledale.
TO BOOK – please ‘register interest’ via the red button towards the top of the page and we’ll be in touch with payment info.
